Preconception is where the next generation’s health begins
Are You Baby Ready?
What happens in the months leading up to conception can have a profound and lasting impact, not only on fertility but on the long-term health of both parent and child. This is the preconception window: a unique opportunity to enhance your fertility and shape the legacy you pass on.Through personalised preconception care, we support key foundations of reproductive and overall health, from hormones and cellular energy to detox pathways, gene expression, and the microbiome. This is a time for creating vitality, resilience, and the conditions that optimise conception, pregnancy, and the future wellbeing of the child you're preparing to welcome.

About Sonja Armstrong
MS, CPN, CNS
My clinical practice is dedicated to fertility and preconception care, helping individuals and couples prepare for conception in a way that supports both reproductive and overall health.I hold a Master of Science in Functional Medicine and Nutrition and am dual-certified as a practising nutritionist (CPN, Australia) and nutrition specialist (CNS, USA). My work draws on systems biology, nutritional science, and a deep understanding of how health shapes what we pass on.Whether you're preparing for your first child or planning to try again, my focus is getting you baby ready.
Working Together
Preconception care isn’t a protocol. It’s a process of uncovering what your body needs in order to do what it’s designed to do. I use a functional, systems-based approach that considers your full picture: hormones, gut health, toxin load, genetics, nutritional status, and the personal health story that ties it all together.Whether you're managing reproductive health concerns like cycle irregularity, PMS, PCOS, or endometriosis, addressing broader health concerns, or simply wanting to feel healthier and more supported before conceiving, I offer personalised care that meets your biology where it’s at and helps it do what it was designed to do.Depending on your needs, this may include:
•Interpretation of conventional labs through a functional lens•Functional testing (e.g. hormones, nutrient status, microbiome, genetics)•Precision nutrition and supplement planning•Environmental and lifestyle strategies to reduce stressors and restore physiological balance.
I work online with individuals and couples worldwide.
Getting Baby Ready – In Your Inbox
I write a Substack newsletter about the art and science of reproductive health, not in oversimplified soundbites, but in ways that make you smarter about your biology. You’ll get clear, actionable, sometimes surprising insights, all designed to get you baby ready.
